The Stay in Palazzolo

Palazzolo is an ideal place for family vacations due to various reasons.

To those who like open country space Palazzolo offers splendid views to­wards the Cetona Mountain and the Val­ley of Chiana and a wide open yard with a swimming-pool (6m x 12m), the ter­race facing the valley and a barbecue and the pos­sibilities to walk inside farm's vineyards and conse­quently to have a peaceful and re­laxing green holiday.

For those who prefer culture and art, Pa­lazzolo situated between Umbria, Tus­cany and Lazio is close to many cul­tural centres like Assisi, Rome, Floren­ce, Pisa, Perugia, Orvieto to name a few, while the Central Italy's largest lake Trasi­meno, surrounded by many his­torical centres is only ca. 25 km far away. It is relatively easy to reach these locali­ties from Palazzolo due to her close­ness to main arteries of com­munication such as A1 motorway (i.e. the autostrada del sole that is about 15 km from Palazzolo) and about the Milano-Rome railway (Palazzolo is seven kilometres from the rail­way station of Chiusi-Chianciano Terme on the line Floren­ce—Rome).

Palazzolo thus becomes an opti­mal base for daily excur­sions to the many important and well-known centres as its location consents a return during the evening to the calm of country-side. Besides the well-known tourism centres Palazzolo offers also a possibility to enjoy the so called minor tourism as from there it is possible to visit beautiful but less known localities like Cortona, Salci, Pa­nicale, Radicofani, etc.

For those who prefer nature Palazzolo represents a good place of departure for daily excursions, since from Palaz­zolo it is possible to reach many inte­resting natural sites in Tuscany (Mount Amiata), Umbria and Abruzzo (Sibillini mountains).

Those, who like out of season, tourism in order to avoid large crowds or the extreme summer heat, may find Palaz­zolo as an ideal solution as her spa­cious and cosy interior does not create problems of staying inside if the wea­ther is not favourable.
